It was 2005. Me, my brother Ron and Rontu were watching a music show where they featured Linkin Park and that was the year when I heard his voice first in my life. The song was "In the end", then they played "Lying from you" 'Numb' 'Crawling' ... And instantly I became a fan of that band. It was a totally new genre to me! Since then I never stopped listening to Linkin Park. I collected their first album "Hybrid Theory" when I was studying at B.S.P.I.

I loved all of the songs and of course voices behind them. Chester's screaming and Mike Shinoda's rap. Me and my brother... we passed our college-University life listening to LP among other bands. My madness about LP was terrific. I used to write their name on my desk, hall room, walls , tee Shirts, Jeans wherever I got chances..... Even I used to say I'll sell my family property to buy the ticket of Linkin Park Concert If it takes.

Usually I dump my old clothing or give away to needy people. But I never dumped this Tee-Shirt. Never....I got this one from my brother Ronel back in 2012 and kept it in my bag since then... Still It's with me.

My friend Bijon was with me. Unfortunately I lost the video.

I had a stamp with LP logo which I used almost all of my books and notes back in my University Life. I was just fascinated with LP. 

Chester, Mike, dave, Han, Rob, Brad Delson...... I read about them wherever I got article. I have almost all of their songs, concert videos, music videos, documentaries whatever I got on web and CD shops.... I owned them. I freakingly loved Linkin Park. The only band I never stopped listening over time. Still I listen to their playlist on youtube. 

I was drawing for Bicchu's that night... and I got the shocking news of Chester's Suicide on instagram feed while I was scrolling in my work break at middle of the night. I was shocked as hell and couldn't believe it. Chezy is no more...... I still can't believe it..... I just fucking can't. I can't think of Linkin Park without Chezy's scream. In my life I got hurt by many things, many acts... Chester's death is one of them.

Chester Bennington, thanks for giving me strength with your voice in my darkest times. You will be missed. May your soul rest in peace.

আইলসামি

সারাদিন কাটাইসি ঘুরাঘুরি করে। রিয়াদ সম্রাট আর জনি সহ আড্ডাবাজি আর টইটই করে দড়ি ছিঁড়া ঘুরাঘুরি। গত দুতিনদিন ফ্রিস্টাইল আঁকাআঁকি ছাড়া কাজের কাজ কিছু হয় নাই এদের সাথে ঘুরতে ঘুরতে। :3 অফিসের জাকারিয়া ভাইয়ের টেক্সট দেখে খেয়াল হইলো প্রতিমঞ্চ এর একটা ইলাস্ট্রেশন করতে হবে আজ রাতের মধ্যে আর এই মুহূর্তে আমার অফিসের কাজ করতে ইচ্ছা করতেসেনা। স্টারের কাচ্চি খাইয়া আসার পর থেকেই ঝিমাইতেসি। :|

কাজকাম না কইরা ইউটিউবে গান শুইনা বেড়াইতেসি আর হাবিজাবি আঁকতেসি। আপাতত এই গান মাথায় ঢুকসে। বাইর হইতেসেনা।  :| 

ক্যানভাস আর মাগাজিন গলি

অনেকদিন যাওয়া হয়নি ঐ এরিয়ায়। তাই অফিস শেষে সিফাতকে নিয়ে চলে গেলাম আজ। মেরুল বাড্ডা থেকে রওনা হওয়ার পথেই কুফা লাগলো। রাস্তা পার হতে গিয়ে শার্ট ছিঁড়ে গেলে রিকশার হুডে লেগে। -_- হাতির ঝিল হয়ে মগবাজার এরপর রিকশায় সোজা নিউমার্কেট । চন্দ্রিমা মার্কেটে গিয়ে স্বর্গে চলে গেলাম। মানে জসিম ভাইয়ের আর্ট সাপ্লাইয়ের দোকান ক্যানভাসে। ওয়াটার কালারের জন্য ব্রাশ আর হ্যান্ডমেড পেপারের স্কেচবুক কিনলাম, এক্সপেরিমেন্টাল আঁকাআঁকির জন্য নিলাম ব্রাউন পেপার শিট। সিফাত নিলো হোয়াইট জেলি রোল। এরপরেই মডার্নে। সিফাত খুঁজছিল ক্রোকুইল নিব পেন। পেলামনা কোথাও। এরপর মদিনা চিকেন হাউস অ্যান্ড ফুড এর রসালো জিলিপি খেয়েই সোজা আরেক স্বর্গ নীলক্ষেতের ম্যাগাজিন গলিতে। পুরনো বইয়ের গন্ধ গায়ে মাখালাম। পরিচিত দোকানে বেশ কিছুক্ষণ গ্রাফিক নভেল আর কমিক্স ঘাঁটলাম ভাল কোন স্টান্ড অ্যালোন বইয়ের খোঁজে। নতুন একটা দোকানের সাথে বন্ধুত্ব হয়ে গেলো আজ । ঐ দোকানে দেখি অসংখ্য বই। ইমেজ ডিসি মার্ভেল এর অসংখ্য বই। দোকানি জানালো স্টোরে আরো আছে। এর মধ্যেই পেয়ে গেলাম G.B. Trudeau এর "The Doonesbury Chronicles" বইটি। বেশ ভাল কন্ডিশনেই। বইয়ের মলাট উলটেই ভিতরে ভিতরে লাফ দিলাম আমি। চার-পাঁচশো পেইজওয়ালা এই বইয়ের প্রতি পাতায় পাতায় সব কমিক স্ট্রিপ।

একটা নিয়মিত কমিক স্ট্রিপ করার কথা বলছেন মেহেদী ভাই আর তাছাড়া মাথায় নতুন একটা কমিক স্ট্রিপ এর প্লট আর ক্যারেক্টার ঘুরছে। গত কিছুদিন "বেসিক আলি" আর জিতু এর কমিক স্ট্রিপ স্টাডি করছিলাম। কমিক স্ট্রিপ এর এই বিশাল কালেকশন দেখে বইটা হাতছাড়া করলাম না। দরদাম করে চারশোতে কিনে নিলাম। জয়তু নীলক্ষেত এর বইয়ের মার্কেট। এই পুরনো বইয়ের দোকানগুলি আছে বলে আমাদের মতো গরিবেরা কিছু পড়তে দেখতে পাচ্ছে। :D এই বই নতুন কিনতে গেলে আমার পকেট থেকে ৩৫০০+ টাকা খসতো। হাতে টাকাপয়সা এলে আবার একদিন যেতে হবে ঐ দোকানে। আরো কিছু বই চোখে পড়েছে কেনার মতো। এর আগে একবার ওই গলির এক দোকানে জাপানিজ মাঙ্গা গডফাদার Osamu Tezuka এর Buddha মাঙ্গা নভেলটার পাঁচ ইস্যু পেয়েছিলাম। পকেটে টাকা ছিলনা বলে কেনা হয়নি সেবার। পরে গিয়ে দেখি বিক্রি হয়ে গিয়েছে। দুঃখ পেয়েছিলাম আমি আর মাতাভ। চা আর বিড়ি খেয়ে ফিরে এলাম। এই টিএসসি, ডিইউ এর চারুকলা, হাকিম চত্বর, শাহবাগ, নিউমার্কেট, নীলক্ষেত এলাকাগুলিতে ঘুরাঘুরি করতে এতো ভাল লাগে আমার! কেন যেন খুব আপন মনে হয়। সময় সুযোগ হলেই দৌড় দেই। জীবনটা মন্দ না !
